I am creating this campaign for Aya because she cannot do it herself.

Aya is desperately asking for help for herself and her baby. Aya is a woman in that damned war, and if that weren’t enough, she is also pregnant. She is over 7 months pregnant and fears that something similar to what happened to her previous baby—who died before birth—might happen again.

Among everything we have discussed, what has impacted me the most are the photos of the numerous medications and pills she has to take to sustain herself. She hasn’t eaten fresh fruit or vegetables for months, and her diet consists of just one meal a day.

She suffers, like everyone else, from the war. And her baby too, even before being born.

Like any mother, she is immensely sad because she cannot prepare anything for her baby’s arrival. With shortages of food, diapers, and clothes for her baby… The frustration is immense, as is the disappointment and sadness. As a mother myself, it pains me to hear her and not be able to help her.

Like many others, she needs us to help her with a donation, no matter how small, to be able to prepare for her baby’s arrival in a decent way.

I have seen many campaigns focused on men, but very few on women. Women still have an even harder time asking for help.

About Aya:

She is a 22-year-old girl, married during the war, and an excellent English student at university before the war. Now she lives with her in-laws in a tent, with absolutely no comfort, no privacy, no food, and seeing how her needs as a pregnant woman cannot be met remotely.

Tents are completely inadequate for living, with bugs, noise, and a damp smell…

Her situation requires more attention, but her husband has to take care of his entire family (made up of 10 people) since his father also recently passed away.

Food is extremely expensive, more and more each day, and the commission to convert money into cash is also high. The timing for the money to reach them is very long, and their situation is critically urgent.

Aya cannot create a donation account herself because Chuffed does not allow it, and she needs an intermediary, as you can see in other campaigns from Gaza.

The baby is about to come. This are the worst circuntancies because Aya lives in Gaza City and they have to be evacuated, but Aya is not able to go anywhere and she needs to be next to a hospital to give birth.

After the birth, they may think about moving south but this is going to be very costly.

Aya ask for a last effort. She would like to prepare things before the baby arrival and even if she has been benefitting of some donations, she still need our help to secure some diapers, medicines for her after the birth and the baby, and she has asked me to write to you an update. She thanks you from the bottom of her hearth.

If I have to be sincere, I’m very worried about her as every medicament, every vitamine, every can of milk is today so expensive and I think that the baby will born low of weitght due to the food restrictions that she has had during the pregnancy. If you care about Aya and you can, please make a final donations so she can secure some things before the situation gets even more complicated.
